LCHS Student Support Services encourages students to achieve optimal development in their personal, social, educational and vocational lives.
LCHS Student Services works closely with students, parents, teachers, and administration to provide direct, proactive, preventative activities that are intended to instill a standard of excellence, responsible citizenship, and life-long learning. Our school consistently boasts a high graduation rate (15% above the provincial average) and provides numerous opportunities for student learning and development.
Each year, LCHS students are awarded over $200,000 in scholarships. Student Services staff encourage students to market their skills and abilities in application of scholarships, travel opportunities and prospective employment. Our students have won seats with such programs as "Encounters With Canada," "Commonwealth Nations Youth Forum," and the "Rotary Youth Adventure and Exchange Program."
Student Services staff have distinguished themselves through speaking engagements and participation on development boards. They are actively involved in local, provincial and national professional associations in the pursuit of student advantages. |
Student Support Services at LCHS targets three main areas.
